| Jenny | Moore | Dearest Jack -- you don't know us (I realize you are hearing that a lot!) We aren't even a "hockey family".... But your story has touched us so deeply. We pray for you every day, many times, asking for understanding, wisdom, and strength for you, your parents and your brother, and for your enormous circle of friends who love you SO much.... but most earnestly we pray for a miracle. I know that God works in mysterious ways, but I also know that He is GOOD, all the time. I trust that He can fix anything. But no matter whether we get that miracle or not, I believe you will go forward from this, and do amazing things in this life, even if they are "different" things than you did before. You are very strong, very much loved, very gorgeous! (you remind me of my own handsome young son about your age), and you are looked after by a loving God. Every minute. Please keep your FAITH, keep fighting, and you WILL get through this. Remember that God said he would walk with us "through" the valley; He didn't say He'd walk us "into the valley and leave us there." Stay strong, friend. With lots of love from Medina p.s. just learned that you moved your arms, and flexed at the elbow! Halleluia!! This is the first of the miracles, Jack!!! Praise God!! |

I can assure you the entire hockey world feels your pain and is praying for the best possible results for you. It will be a tough road ahead for you but keep your spirits high and remember, we are all behind you. May God bless you and give you the strength to get through this ordeal. | Naomi | Lorence | Jack, my husband and I have you in our thought and prayers. Keep your head up and believe in yourself. My family and I know exactly what you and your family are going through. A year and a half ago my husband was deployed when his truck was hit by an IED. When he arrived at Walter Reed Medical Center we found out that his spine was severed. I can't tell you how many times a day I was told, "Naomi, your husband will never walk again. He may never even get feeling back." That was a daily thing we went through but it was not something we held on to or believed. After leaving Walter Reed we ended up here in Minnesota for his rehad and within a couple of months, severed spine and all, my husband was up and walking. He may not be 100% back to what he was before, but he did something that his doctors told him he would never do again. Again, keep your head up and always, always believe in yourself and not what others tell you!!! |

Just weeks before I was lining up behind him as he took faceoffs and it shook me deeply. As not only a hockey player, but a parent as well, the thought that this could happen to me or one of my kids in some random instant in time sobers me greatly. | Art | Rosenbaum | It is so clear that enough is enough. There is no reason in the world why young players of the greatest game on earth should have to worry about ruining the rest of their lives because senseless hitting is allowed to remain in the game. Harsh consequences, including permanent suspension from playing the game at any level, should be mandated world-wide. This donation is being made of behalf of three active hockey players, ages 13, 24 and 49. Our 13 year has sustained two concussions over the past two season for this very same reason. We are prepared to fight for the 'make the game safer' cause. We wish a miraculous recovery for Jack. All the very best. Art, Robyn, Geoff and Josh Rosenbaum - Mercer Chiefs - New Jersey. |

| Taylor | Stoddart | I am writing because of something 11 year old daughter Taylor did last night. As we do on many Thursday nights, we go to Mainstreet Bar and Grill in Hopkins to have dinner and play there version of Bingo they call Mingo. They charge nothing to play and give out a variety of prizes. Their last game of Mingo is a cover all and who ever is fortunate to win that game is given a chance to play Mainstreet's version of Deal or no Deal with a chance to win up to 300.00 dollars. My daughter was fortunate to win the last game and get her chance at playing the game. When they asked her what she was going to do with any monies she might win, she said I would like to donate 1/2 of my winnings to JABS. She has never met JABS, and does not play hockey. I as was the entire place was completly taken by back by what she said. As she played the game and proceeded to not do as well as expected, the Manager at Mainstreet told her if she proceeded to play he would make her a deal she could not refuse,if she played on. She got to the end with little chance of winning much of anything. That is when the Manager said to her, this is the deal you can't refuse. $20.00 gift card, $40.00 for herself and $40.00 to her charity of choice, the fund for Jabs. She got the biggest smile on her face and accepted. I being a parent was so proud of her and very impressed by what the Manager at Mainstreet did when he had to do nothing. Kids and people are amazing and cease to amaze. God Bless to Jabs and his family and friends. |

| Jarell | Kuney | If life can change in a heartbeat, so it has for you & your family, Jack. I was reading the interview with you that appeared in the STAR TRIBUNE today (Jan. 20th), and I was impressed with your positive attitude, and the fact that even now, in the early stages of your recovery, you are planning for the future. It is important to set your sights on a goal, and even more important to believe you can achieve that goal. My family suffered a similar tragedy last month when my 64 year old brother fell from his roof at his home in Georgia, and fractured three lumbar vertebrae. But, my brother was more fortunate than you. He did not sever his spinal cord, although the surgeon said he came very close to doing so. He has been able to recover remarkably fast from his injuries, and for this, we are extremely grateful! What I saw in my brother was that he maintained his sense of humor throughout his ordeal, and he was determined to not let this injury keep him from moving forward with life. You have your youth, physical fitness and an incredibly large network of supporters to help you through the challenges that lie ahead. Wishing you a world of success going forward! (I am also a 25 year employee of 3M, just like your dad.) |
| Sandy | Fiecke-Stifter | You make me want to give you a big "mom" hug for being such an amazing young man! At the time, he was told he would be hospitalized for life. He was at the U of MN for one year, and then came home permanently, returning only to the hospital for check ups. I have many memories, and the impact my father had on my life lives in my heart. Take it one day at a time. God Bless you and keep you strong as your journey moves forward. |

| Gordon | Gregg | My brother T has been in a wheel chair since his 13th birthday. The home we lived in had all the bedrooms on the second floor so at the time my parents bought a another home, and had it remodeled for his ease of care. In retrospect I think it was the reason their marriage was able to handle the stress (another 38 years). He was supposed to only make it until 15 or 16 and he turns 58 Feb 11 . His friends carried him in his wheelchair up the school stairs all through Jr' High & High school because it was faster than the elevator. They included him in as many events as they could. He is still in touch with several of his friends and I met him back home and took him to his 35th year High school reunion. I don't think he missed many of our little brothers or my baseball, basketball, or football games, or my brothers & sisters music and dance recitals. My parents always made the wheel chair van available to whom ever needed it if they wanted to include Ty, and they did regularly. He and his friends still share many fond memories of those years. The sustained post chair relationships never would have been as abundant without the support of the hundreds of the friends and family members who stepped way up. The support that 'Jabby 13' gets from his friends and family will bring many untold blessings and will last a lifetime, it might take him awhile to realize it for himself. You guys are awesome for helping a family that has supported yours. The constant care of a young loved one, who has lost most physical abilities is hard on all family members. The entire family has to learn how to offer a 'different kind of support' , way different than typical parenting, and normal sibling relationships. |

| Rob & Sue | Wheaton | My heart goes out to Jack and his family. It's difficult to fathom what they must be going through. The far reaching public support of well wishes, donations, assistance, etc is, in a completely different way, equally unfathomable...unprecedented. While neither the event nor the response is understandable to me on one level, Jack's quote in the Minneapolis StarTribune was comforting, insightful, and very clear to me on another level. The meaning that I took from Jack's quote was that, even though it may not be obvious at the moment, there must be some greater meaning or purpose behind what happened and what's going on in response. I don't know Jack or his family, but from what I feel, I know in my heart that Jack was meant to lead. Without even knowing it, perhaps, Jack's already leading. He has shown characteristics of belief, resolve, forgiveness, and many others. That's leading and modeling in anybody's book. Moreover, he's displaying these characteristics as he is. It's interesting to me that the one we're trying to comfort is actually comforting us. Without solicitation, Jack's supporters have made themselves known and have let Jack know, through their efforts and messages, that they are here for him today when he needs them and they will be there for him tomorrow in a reciprocal manner. |

| Courtney | MacDonald | Dear Jack, I thought I should write to tell you- I am praying for you. When I read about your accident, I was reminded of mine in 1947, when I was 16. It was written up in all the papers about how I was thrown out of an Amusement Park ride. People I never knew wrote- saying they were praying for me and my recovery. The prayers worked!!! I lived- then was able to learn to walk and even have children. I became a firm believer in the power of prayer. In a Bible verse I love Jeremiah 29:11- God says "I know the plans I have for you"- plans for good and not for evil. Also a blessing- Numbers 6:24-26. My prayers are with you. Love, Courtney |

| Deanna | S | This Donation is made in honor of Jack who Ive never met but saw his story on FoxSportsOhio watching Blue Jackets game. Your story moved me in 2 ways 1: You, Jack and your family are True Heros and you dont see that often stay stronge and keep that determined mindset you have! 2: The love of hockey Ive been a hockey fan for years and one thing its taught me is exactly how stronge the love of the game and its meaning is! Best wishes from Ohio!! |
| Cynthia | Rothschild | Jack--Greetings from Nashville. I did not know your story until last night when it aired during the Predators/Wild game. I guess you know Minnesota led 4-1 with less than 11 minutes to go, only to see the Predators rally for four goals and a 5-4 victory. We rely on miracles down here in the south, too. Ever see the Music City Miracle game the Titans played? I was there, the only time I ever saw a pro football game. Then last night I saw the Preds receive a miracle and you were there all caught up in the middle of it, so I KNOW there is one heading your way. Just take it slow and easy and cherish it when it comes to you. |

| Michael | Sit | Jack, My name is Michael Sit, I played for Edina last year and now play at Boston College. This donation is made on behalf of the Boston College hockey team. Our team is praying for you and keeping you in our thoughts. I heard about your accident from my parents and have been closely following your progress. Along with thousands of people in the hockey community your story really struck home for me. It’s easy for kids to overlook the dangers of a game you grew up playing and are around everyday. The new rules that have been created in response to your injury will be a great improvement to the game of hockey. The additional safety they create is necessary and I hope that it will spread to leagues outside of Minnesota. You have a world of support around you. It simply amazes me how many people your story has touched and how the entire hockey community has come together for you. From hockey moms to NHL legends, everyone who hears your story is deeply touched and wants to do something to help. You truly are an inspiration. Your ability to keep a smile on your face and refuse defeat is unbelievable. This situation was thrust upon you at only 16 years old. It would have been easy for you to succumb to it and lose hope, but instead you approached the situation with determination and drive to defy the odds. That is an impressive feat. We can all learn from the fight and effort you’ve shown. Everyone is pulling for you, keep your head up and never lose hope. Prayer and faith have done great things. Michael Sit and the Boston College Hockey Team |
